About the Open Call

The Kranj Foto Fest Open Call for Exhibitions 2026 is an international call for photography projects to be exhibited in Slovenia. It offers a platform for both emerging and established photographers to showcase their work to curators and editors. The program includes solo and group exhibitions in diverse venues across the town, ranging from galleries to outdoor landscapes like forests and tunnels. Projects are selected by an international jury.

What is Offered

1,000 EUR cash prize for the winner; solo or group exhibition; production costs covered; travel expenses up to 400 EUR for the winner; 3 nights of accommodation during the opening week for all selected artists; PR and marketing promotion.

Requirements

Open to photographers, visual artists, and collectives aged 18 or older. No thematic or regional restrictions. Submitted work must be a coherent project or series of 10-20 images. AI-generated images must be conceptually justified and disclosed. High-resolution files required for printing.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted through the Picter platform. Applicants may submit up to two projects, each containing 10 to 20 images. A fee of 12 EUR applies for one project, and 16 EUR for two projects.
