Haiti Cultural Exchange
Lakou NOU ('Our Yard' in Haitian Creole) is a creative adaptation of the traditional rural Haitian Lakou communal living system. Selected artists engage with community assets to address neighborhood issues while furthering their own artistic visions. The residency includes a $7,500 stipend, professional development, and networking opportunities with community stakeholders.

Applicants must be of Haitian descent. The program is looking for artists who can connect their practice to specific Brooklyn neighborhoods (Crown Heights, Canarsie, East Flatbush, or Flatbush).
