Les Kometa Fellows

About the Open Call

The Kometa Fellows programme provides one year's funding for the work of authors who document reality in contexts of war, censorship or severe political and social tensions. Each of the twelve Fellows selected in 2026 will receive €10,000 in funding. The project must be completed within one year. Eligible formats include reporting, investigative journalism, photography, correspondence, narrative essays, and hybrid projects.

What is Offered

Each Fellow receives €10,000 in funding for their project.

Requirements

The project must be rooted in first-hand experience in the field, demonstrate narrative ambition, and be feasible within one year. Candidates must not have an existing contractual commitment with a publishing house for the proposed project and must agree to sign an exclusivity contract with Kometa if selected.
