About the Open Call

MAQAM is a transdisciplinary residency that offers artists, researchers, and cultural actors unhurried time to develop research and practice in Gabes. The program explores the intersection of contemporary artistic inquiry with local urban, social, and environmental fabrics through methodologies like geochoreography. Participants engage in pathways, shared meals, and open studios.

What is Offered

90-day residency including accommodation, studio space, artistic accompaniment, domestic transfers, three daily meals, insurance, and coverage for international travel to/from Tunisia.

Requirements

Applicants must be over 18, reside in a Creative Europe participating country, and commit to the full 90-day period. Priority is given to Arab artists in diaspora.
