About the Open Call
Human Expressions invites artists to reimagine and push the boundaries of the traditional portrait genre, encouraging the exploration of new ways to convey the complexities of human experience. This exhibition seeks works that capture the depth of human expression through innovative approaches to portraiture, focusing on the transformative use of color, form, and composition. The exhibition will be held in MFA’s Virtual Gallery from April 15 – June 14, 2026.
What is Offered
Cash awards totaling $500 presented by the juror. Artists retain 80% of sales (85% for MFA Members).
Requirements
Open to all artists internationally. All work must be original, completed solely by the artist's hand, and created within the past 3 years. Any original 2D or 3D work that follows exhibition guidelines will be considered.
How to Apply
Artists must submit their work online through the ArtCall.org platform by creating a free account. A maximum of 6 original works may be entered.
