About the Open Call
The Masaha Residency Cycle 11, titled 'The Witness and the Trace,' invites artists to consider what remains after an action or event—residues, incomplete documents, and shifts in space. The program includes weekly mentorship, project development, cultural site trips, public engagement, and a final group exhibition showcase funded by Misk Art Institute. Residents are expected to reflect on memory and translate personal experiences into conceptual frameworks for their artistic practice.
What is Offered
Roundtrip flights to Riyadh, visa processing, accommodation for non-Riyadh residents, private studio space, and a production budget for new work.
Requirements
Full-time visual artists from all disciplines with 3+ years of fine arts experience or exhibiting history. Applicants must be actively practicing and able to commit fully to the three-month program from May 3 to July 25, 2026.
