Migration Museum
The Migration Museum is launching a UK-wide initiative to recruit 10 Community Curators. This programme works with partner institutions (Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts, The Food Museum, Glasgow Life Museums, Hastings Museum & Art Gallery, and Museum of Free Derry) to co-curate displays exploring migration stories. Curators will receive training in curatorial work and community engagement, and will work on a freelance basis for 9 months from September 2026 to May 2027.
Freelance contract for 9 months, paid at £20ph for approx 4 hours per week, including professional curatorial training.
Applicants must be local to one of the five partner venues (Gateshead, Stowmarket, Glasgow, Hastings, or Derry). No previous curatorial or museum experience required. Must be community-minded and interested in migration narratives.
