Künstler*dorf Schöppingen and kaethe:k Kunsthaus
The programme invites four artists whose practice engages with questions of accessibility, participation, and the critique of power in and through digital media. The residency format is a 12-week digital engagement designed to support artists facing barriers to physical travel, such as chronic illness, disability, neurodiversity, or care responsibilities. Fellows receive a fee, material budget, and access support, with work documented on an open-source platform. Expectation includes online meetings, colloquia participation, and contribution to documentation.
Each residency includes a €2,500 fee, a €500 material budget, and additional access support, along with mentorship and professional networking.
Professional artists/collectives working with digital media (video, sound, computers, internet, software). Must live more than 1,500 km from Schöppingen, Germany, and be unable to travel due to barriers like disability, chronic illness, or care responsibilities.
