About the Open Call

The New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA) invites photographers world-wide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, etc.). Winners will receive $4,000 in cash awards, be featured in the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the Prize Winners catalog. The Grand Prize winning image will be posted on the NYC4PA home page. The world of photography has changed dramatically with regard to how these images are created but the special nature of a monochrome print, whether it be black and white, sepia or even shades of a single color are still where emotion, texture and beauty are expressed in gradations from light to dark.

What is Offered

Winners receive $4,000 in cash awards, inclusion in the NYC4PA Online Gallery, and features in the Prize Winners catalog.

Requirements

Images selected for an NYC4PA prize within the past 2 years are not eligible. Only 2-D work is eligible. No signatures or watermarks on images; no artist names in titles. Blind jury process.

How to Apply

Submit images via https://client.smarterentry.com/nyc4pa. The entry fee is $40 for the first three images; additional images are $10 each.
