Kolaj Institute
Montreal: City as Archive Collage Artist Lab is a five-day intensive where collage artists use Place as a laboratory and spend a week making artwork, learning about the city, its people, and its history. Artists will explore Montreal with a focus on various neighborhoods and institutions, considering how collagists find and use material culture in their work. The program includes virtual pre-lab meetings, 24-hour access to Atelier Galerie 2112 during the residency, and potential exhibition or publication opportunities for work created.
Five-day intensive residency, professional studio access, curatorial support, and networking within the Kolaj Institute community.
Artists must be over the age of 21 and self-motivated. Financial responsibility for travel, accommodation, and meals lies with the artist. The program fee is 1000 CAD.
