About the Open Call

Aviário Studio provides a creative playground for artists to test possibilities and translate ideas into reality. Residencies, available for 2 weeks to 6 months, can focus on experimentation, research, new techniques, or creating physical outputs. The studio features 5 equipped workshops for printmaking, ceramics, wood, metal, sculpture, installation, drawing, painting, photography, and bookbinding, including a clean room, image room, common space, object room, ceramics room, and mix media room. Accommodation is provided in Ferreira do Zêzere, less than 2km from the studios, offering single or shared rooms in a fully equipped house. The studio also has a dedicated exhibition hall at the Alfredo Keil Cultural Centre for public shows. Artists can choose between self-directed, guided, or assisted production residencies.
