About the Open Call

This residency invites Indigenous musicians to develop nearly completed or finished songs with support from faculty and audio production teams. The program includes workshops, community gatherings, and recording opportunities in professional studios. Participants will engage in one-on-one sessions, 24-hour studio access, and have the opportunity to perform live. The program is open to solo artists and duos of various genres including vocalists, rappers, singer-songwriters, DJs, and instrumentalists.

Requirements

Open to Indigenous people aged 18+ from any region. Requires submission of 2-3 samples of work. Must obtain a visitor visa to enter Canada if international.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete an online form, pay the $35 application fee, and submit supporting materials including a resume, cover letter, 500-word project proposal (or 3-minute video), resource request form, and a portfolio of 3-5 songs via the SlideRoom portal.
