About the Open Call

Myoju is an artist residency rooted in the nature and history of Lake Biwa. Residents receive access to a private bedroom, private studio, and shared communal spaces. The upcoming cohort runs from September 1 to September 28, 2026. The residency is fully sponsored by the host, though artists are responsible for their own travel, meals, insurance, and personal expenses. Optional opportunities include an end-of-term exhibition and consignment sales.
