About the Open Call

Nakanojo Biennale is an international art festival held every two years. For the 11th edition in 2027, themed 'Echoing Green,' we are calling for artists to present creations in diverse venues including historical buildings, hot spring towns, and natural landscapes. Successful applicants will participate in an orientation, on-site inspection, and residency during the spring/summer of 2027.

Requirements

Individual artists or artist groups; portfolio submission; mandatory orientation for successful candidates; on-site inspection attendance (for Japan-based first-time artists).
