About the Open Call

The Other Art Fair Chicago invites artists to submit proposals for interactive, artist-led projects inspired by "Nostalgia Core." We are seeking innovative, experiential projects that evoke memories, sentiment, and the aesthetics of past decades—inviting audiences to touch, see, hear, and participate. Projects can be wall-mounted, free-standing, or in-booth, and should incorporate interactive elements such as sound, performance, or workshops. Selected projects will be featured at the fair and highlighted across marketing and PR channels.

What is Offered

Project fees ranging from $500 to $2,000 depending on scale; inclusion in the fair; professional photography of the project; and promotion through marketing and PR campaigns.

Requirements

Projects must be interactive and align with the "Nostalgia Core" theme. Artists are responsible for fabrication and transportation. Proposals must specify technical needs such as walling, lighting, and electrical outlets.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit a proposal via the online Jotform, including a project concept, sketches or renderings, detailed space and installation requirements, an estimated budget and project fee request, and a fabrication timeline.
