About the Open Call
The Zaratan AIR residency program is designed to intensify exchange between experienced and emerging artists. Selected artists receive private accommodation, a 24/7 private studio, technical assistance, and promotional support to develop an experimental project. The residency concludes with a public presentation, such as a talk, performance, or open studio. While the annual grant covers costs for one selected artist, other applicants may be considered for the regular fee-based residency program.
What is Offered
The grant covers studio and accommodation fees for a 4-week period, providing a private working studio, technical assistance, and communication support.
Requirements
Open to emerging and professional artists, performers, musicians, curators, and writers. The program is specifically for international artists or national artists living abroad.

Email production@zaratan.pt with a single PDF file (max 24MB) including a Bio/CV, portfolio or website, a description of the intended project, and the preferred residency period.
