Open Call: Alternative Roots

About the Open Call

Alternative Roots is a day-long festival celebrating interdisciplinary practices and the diversity of East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) creative communities in the UK. The festival seeks existing live works (up to 60 minutes) that draw from theatre, dance, performance art, or interdisciplinary practice. Conventional plays are unlikely to be accepted.

What is Offered

Selected artists receive a fixed fee of £400 per slot, venue and basic tech support, and documentation/marketing support.

Requirements

Artists must identify as East and Southeast Asian (ESEA), including first/second generation diaspora, or have other lived connections. Existing works (not new commissions) are required.
