About the Open Call

Artsadmin Lab 2026 is a curated residency programme based at Toynbee Studios. It supports artists in the early stages of developing new work, offering time, space, and professional support without the pressure of producing a finished outcome. The 2026 programme features two cohorts: 'Roots' (24–28 August) and 'Repair' (12–16 October). Selected artists receive £1,000, one year of mentorship, and access to the Alumni network.

What is Offered

£1,000 financial support, one-week rehearsal space at Toynbee Studios, one year of ongoing mentorship from the Artsadmin producing team, and access to the Lab Alumni network.

Requirements

Applicants must be UK-based contemporary performance artists aged 18+. They must have participated in the Artsadmin Artist Support Programme between 1 July 2025 and 1 July 2026. If not yet eligible, artists may attend an Artsadmin activity before the deadline to qualify.

How to Apply

Eligible artists must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the online portal. Shortlisted artists will then be invited to a Lab Panel conversation. See the official website for templates and guidance.
