About the Open Call

Al-Tiba9 Contemporary Art is an international platform facilitating print and digital distribution for featured artists in its magazine, art books, web, and social media. The Artist Directory serves as a development space for new and emerging talent, fostering professional connections and collaborations with galleries, museums, art collectors, dealers, art professionals, and academics globally. Inclusion in the directory ensures international exposure to Al-Tiba9's network, engagement with online and print readers, and institutional partners like ArtsLibris Barcelona, ARCOmadrid, and ARCOlisboa. Selected artists will receive a dedicated webpage with artwork images, biography, artist statement, and contact details, and will be promoted via the website, social media, and newsletters. They will also be eligible for recommendations for commissions, collaborations, and exhibitions. The directory is 100% curated editorial content, with no commercial ads alongside artists' work.

What is Offered

Selected artists benefit from international exposure across Al-Tiba9's network, a dedicated webpage on their website (including contact details, biography, artist statement, and 5 images), promotion via website, social media, and newsletters, and eligibility for recommendations for commissions, collaborations, and exhibitions.

Requirements

Visual artists working in any technique or visual medium are welcome to submit their work. Artists from all countries, including those previously featured, are eligible. Curation focuses on artists presenting unique, future-oriented, innovative, and visionary conceptions.

How to Apply

Artists must submit their applications exclusively via the form on the Al-Tiba9 website; email or private messages are not accepted. All applications and supporting texts (biography, statement) must be in English and written in the third person. Artists should select one or more categories and, if submitting for multiple mediums, provide separate folders for each. Only one application per artist is permitted. The deadline for proposals is December 30th, 2025, at 11:30 pm. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected. Linked folders from Google Drive/Dropbox must be accessible; Wetransfer applications are not accepted. While application is free, a selection fee of 100€ applies only to selected artists.
