Open Call for an Architect in Residence

About the Open Call

This residency is an invitation to look, measure, imagine, and produce a spatial intervention study for O Castro de Mourelos, an abandoned rural village. Working alongside artistic directors and other residents, the selected architect will develop a research-based proposal engaging with themes of ruin, history, and ecological repair. The 30-day residency includes accommodation in a geodesic dome, mentorship, and full integration into the communal life of the village.

What is Offered

Travel allowance (400 EUR or 800 EUR based on distance), daily allowance of 30 EUR, accommodation in a geodesic dome, mentorship, and full integration into village life.

Requirements

Must be a legal resident of a European country other than Spain. Must be available for the full 30 days in October 2026. Submissions must be in English.
