About the Open Call

Visual Art Journal announces an open call for artists to showcase their talent in its globally distributed magazine, available in both print and digital versions. The magazine features up to 120 beautifully designed pages, printed on high-quality paper, and is distributed globally. Selected artists will receive a free digital copy of the magazine, photos of their physical magazine pages, and will be showcased on the Visual Art Journal Instagram account (50k+ subscribers). The journal is officially registered as an online publication in the Netherlands, holding e-ISSN 3051-2352, with printing and shipping managed from the Netherlands. The opportunity aims to connect artists with a global audience through digital promotion on platforms like Google, Bing, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, targeting key searches such as 'art magazine' and 'emerging artists'. Physical copies are also periodically featured in art galleries, including Quorum Gallery in France. Additional opportunities are available for an interview feature in the magazine and on the website, and for artwork display on a digital billboard in Times Square, New York.

What is Offered

Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years or older. All visual artists, including painters and photographers, are invited to submit. Image requirements include .JPG or .PNG format, specific titling convention (First Name_Last Name_Title_Year), and a limit of up to 6 works.

How to Apply

Applicants should fill out the form on the Visual Art Journal's call for artists page. Images must be in .JPG or .PNG format. Image titles must follow the format: First Name_Last Name_Title_Year. Up to 6 works can be submitted. Artists can provide a link to a Google Drive or Dropbox folder in the form, or send images directly to visualartjoin@gmail.com.
