About the Open Call

About our magazine: Everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of your background and stage of career. Submission is always free, and only after we send you a confirmation, you will be asked to pay a participation fee. You are automatically eligible for our prizes! (1st prize: front cover, 2nd prize: back cover, 3rd prize: inner front cover, 4th prize: inner back cover). Please note that there are several options you can choose from to offer you the best and most suitable package of your choice. The magazine will be published quarterly. The submission deadlines are always: March 15, June 15, September 15, December 15. The open call is ongoing, and you can apply any time. The theme is open, and we accept all kinds of art except video. Our magazine is published on this website, on blurb (digital & print) and on social media. Your benefits: Our magazine is accessible for everyone and can be viewed for free on our website and on blurb. Get the chance to be chosen for one of the cover pages! The magazine will be promoted on various channels (website, social media (instagram, facebook), blurb, newsletter) to gain maximum exposure and reach as many people as possible. The pages + one additional artwork are always promoted on social media (post + story). The magazine is printed on premium quality paper to guarantee a professional presentation for your art. Through blurb the magazine can be distributed around the world. You can add the feature to your portfolio. By submitting your art, you are automatically considered for our "selected artists" gallery section. Submitting is always free: you only pay if we confirm your submission and therefore no money is thrown out the window! You can combine the magazine feature with a virtual exhibition and/or an exclusive interview; you can also opt for an extensive magazine feature (see options below).

What is Offered

Opportunity to be featured in a high-quality digital and print magazine, with potential for cover page features. Includes promotion on website and social media (Instagram, Facebook), newsletter, and Blurb. Artists receive a digital copy (for extensive features) and can add the feature to their portfolio. Options for extensive features, exclusive interviews, and virtual exhibitions are available. Automatically considered for 'selected artists' gallery.

Requirements

Artists must submit 6 high-quality, high-resolution artworks (72-300dpi, 3-4MB JPEG, max 5MB) named as firstname_lastname_titleartwork_price (price in €). Submissions must include a statement (max 200 words) and detailed descriptions (max 150 words each) for two artworks, all in a .doc file or email body (no PDFs). Submissions via WeTransfer or Google Drive link to goddessartsmag@web.de; no email attachments for images. For extensive options (4 or 6 pages), up to 15-18 works and descriptions for 4-6 artworks (250 words each) are required.

How to Apply

IMPORTANT: Always submit first (free submission) till we get back at you! - send 6 of your best artworks in good quality and high res - resolution and size must be between 72dpi and 300dpi and 3- 4 mb in jpeg. format (no larger than 5 mb please!) - name your files: firstname_lastname_titleartwork_price (price in €) - send a statement max. 200 words - describe 2 of your artworks in detail (meaning, process, inspiration), max. 150 words each - send the text as doc. file or include it into the body of the e-mail (no pdfs please!) - send your submission link via wetransfer or a google drive link to: goddessartsmag@web.de - DON'T send us your pictures via e-mail attachment!
