About the Open Call

In 2027, Mustarinda’s program is centred on the theme 'The House as a Teacher'. We invite artists, researchers, and other professionals to live and work together in the house for 2-6 weeks, and consider the following questions: What can be learned from living with and through the House? What do the seasons permit, prevent, and nourish? And how can context-based learnings about ecological living be shared elsewhere? For this multidisciplinary residency we welcome all manner of practices, mediums, practitioners, and projects. Let’s continue to research how the practice of living and learning a sustainable life in the residency can become a site for exchange, experimentation, knowledge production, and collective learning in dialogue with our House, the Teacher.

What is Offered

2-6 weeks of residency space, communal living facilities, and research environment.

Requirements

Applicants are expected to take part in shared tasks in the house like cleaning, gardening in the summer, or snow work in the winter time.
