Pedvale Art Park
The International Artist Residency Pedvale is accepting applicants for its 2026 Spring Residency programme. Artists are invited to apply for a 4-week residency in March, April or May. Nine artists will be selected for each month, ensuring a diverse group including visual artists, writers, dancers, and performance artists. Pedvale Art Park & Artist Residency is located two hours northwest of Riga, encompassing almost 100 hectares suitable for artistic exploration. Accommodation is provided in a refurbished 19th-century manor house with fully-furnished private bedrooms and bathrooms, and access to a kitchen, common areas, and laundry. Workshops are equipped with professional lighting and basic tools. Studios, ranging from ~30 square meters on the ground floor to smaller ones in the basement, can be private or shared, with 24-hour access. Outdoor work in the sculpture park is also possible. Artists are responsible for their own materials.
A 4-week residency period in a fully-furnished private bedroom with private bathroom and access to common facilities. Equipped workshops with professional lighting and basic tools, 24-hour access to studio space (private or shared), and outdoor work opportunities. Assistance with arrangements for materials and travel. Opportunities to present work to the local community, teach public workshops, perform, or hold an exhibition are offered, but not mandatory.
The residency is open to visual artists, writers, performers, and other creative individuals. Applicants must submit an artist CV/resume, a proposal letter, preferred residency time, and work samples. Artists are responsible for self-funding travel, specific materials, and equipment. A residency fee of €480 per month applies upon acceptance, payable one month prior to arrival. Participants can bring one family member or partner for an additional 50% of the price.
Applicants shall apply by email with an open application to pedvale@pedvale.lv. The submission should include an artist CV and resume, a proposal letter, the preferred time for the residency, and samples of their work. Selection will be made by a committee, and all applicants will be informed personally.
