Kinosaki International Arts Center
KIAC is an art center for creation and community exchange, rather than a presenting theater. We provide hall and studio space, accommodation, and staff support for performing arts projects, research-based projects, and professional art study groups. The center aims to be a site for experimentation where artists and locals interact. Applicants must be able to work independently and are expected to engage with the Community Exchange Program.
Free use of KIAC hall, studios, and accommodation (up to 7 rooms); support from technical staff and coordinators.
Minimum 7 days up to 3 months stay. Ability to speak basic English or Japanese. Must be self-sufficient (laundry, cleaning, cooking). Must be willing to conduct community exchange activities. Must cover all travel, living, and production costs. Utilities fee of 350 yen per person/day applies.
Download the application form from the website, fill it out, and submit it to air2027@kiac.jp with the subject 'Application for the 2026 AIR program'.
