About the Open Call

The Gwangju Biennale Foundation is looking for an artistic director to shape the 17th edition of the Biennale. The role involves leading the curatorial vision, addressing contemporary social issues, and strengthening the international standing of the Biennale. Applicants can be individuals or teams from Korea or abroad.

What is Offered

Commissioned, non-resident contract with full-time residency required as the event progresses. Contract period from date of appointment to December 2028.

Requirements

Curriculum Vitae (CV), Statement of Intent, Portfolio of Curatorial and Professional Activities, Preliminary Exhibition/Curatorial Proposal, and two Letters of Recommendation.
