About the Open Call

Contains Art CIO is offering a 5-week residency to a Somerset-based artist in Studio 10 Project Space at East Quay. The residency runs from Friday 4 September to Sunday 11 October 2026. It is designed as a making-focused residency where the artist is expected to be present, active in the space, and engage with visitors. Studio 10 is a multi-use project space intended to platform emerging and underrepresented artists.

What is Offered

£1,200 inclusive of VAT to cover artist stipend, material costs, and equipment.

Requirements

Artists must have a connection to Somerset (residency, studio, grew up there, or attended school there within the last 10 years). Selected artist must be present in the studio on a regular basis during the 5-week period, including during Somerset Art Weeks.
