Popps Packing
Popps Packing invites serious studio artists to apply for a 1-3 month long studio residency available for Winter-Spring 2026. The residency space accommodates two artists at a time, providing a private bedroom within a 2-bedroom loft-style studio with shared kitchen, bathroom, and studio spaces. The ambiance is that of a concrete loft-style warehouse, prioritizing studio function. Popps Packing fosters a communal and familial environment, with permanent residents and founding artists living on or near the premises. The organization occasionally hosts small gatherings, public events, workshops, open studios, tours, and other community activities, and encourages resident artists to propose and host their own public-facing programs. The building is an old warehouse, undergoing continuous maintenance and upkeep.
1-3 month long studio residency, private bedroom, access to shared kitchen, bathroom, and studio spaces, communal living environment, and the opportunity to propose and host public-facing programs (workshop, performance, open studio, artist talk or screening).
Applicants must be serious studio artists with a serious studio practice, capable of making the most of the facilities, space, and time offered. Artists must be able to live and work alongside other artists and commit to maintaining the communal working/living environment.
