About the Open Call
Ordain facilitates decentralized patronage for creative works. In this inaugural round, five commissions are available with bounties ranging from $100 to $1,000 for short films five minutes or less. Filmmakers can use any tools, including AI, live action, animation, or hybrid formats. Half of the bounty is awarded by the commissioner, and the other half is decided by ranked choice voting among the creators who submitted. Peer voting runs from March 23 to 27, 2026.

Requirements
Film must be five minutes or less. Must respond to one of the five open commissions. Must agree to participate in peer voting.
How to Apply
Post your finished film as an unlisted video on YouTube or Vimeo, then submit the link via the form on the Ordain website. You must provide your name, email, the specific commission you are responding to, the video link, a still frame, a short description, and a Lightning Address for payment.
