The POP UP Solo Dance Festival is an innovative dance festival dedicated to showcasing the unique personal expression of creators and performers through solo dance pieces, where the choreographer and performer are the same individual. The 2025 edition of the festival takes place in Athens and explores the captivating themes of reality and illusion. Organized by DANCE Athens, the initiative aims to highlight human uniqueness through individual creation and personal artistic expression.

Opportunity to present solo dance pieces at an innovative dance festival in Athens, providing a platform for individual creation and personal expression.

Requirements

Applicants must be the choreographer and performer of a solo dance creation. The work must have a duration between 10 and 15 minutes. Artists must be available in Athens between December 18-21 and December 27-28, 2025.

How to Apply

Applicants must fill out the provided application form. Required information includes the title of the performance, name and surname of the choreographer/performer, duration of the performance (10-15 minutes), a short summary of the performance, credits, a video link of the final creation (or an unedited rehearsal video of the full length), a link to the choreographer/performer's CV, and confirmation of availability in Athens during 18-21 & 27-28/12/2025. The application deadline is November 14, 2025.
