About the Open Call

Princeton Arts Fellows spend two consecutive academic years (September 1-July 1) at Princeton University. Formal teaching is expected, typically one course each semester, though fellows may undertake artistic assignments in lieu of a class. Fellows are expected to be full and active members of the community, engaging frequently with students. A stipend of $93,000 per year is provided. Fellowships are not for funding work toward an advanced degree. Applicants do not need to be U.S. citizens. Holders of Ph.D. degrees from Princeton, past Hodder Fellowship recipients, and individuals with a sustained and continuous relationship with Princeton University are not eligible. Those with occasional and sporadic relationships with Princeton may apply.
