About the Open Call

PROCESO DE ERROR is a non-competitive international festival focused on experimental video. Since 2014, it has taken place in Valparaíso, Chile, with exhibitions held in cinemas, museums, cultural venues, on a boat over the sea, and also abroad. Organized by INVE, Experimental Arts Platform, a creative, horizontal space with mutual support dynamics that transmits its collaborative spirit to the event, the festival aims to bring this type of work closer to the general public, as well as to creators, thinkers, and enthusiasts of cinema and expanded arts. We are interested in generating links around experimental cinema and its ways of thinking in the global sociopolitical context. This festival is a meeting space that exhibits single-channel and expanded cinema pieces, in addition to offering free workshops and talks with prior registration. During the week before the festival, we hold LAB PDE, a creation residency whose works premiere during the official days of the event. PROCESO DE ERROR is an invitation to make, watch, and reflect on cinema and its infinite manifestations, in a safe environment of mutual care and shared critical thought.
