Creative Folkestone
Creative Folkestone is offering four paid two-week residencies per year at Derek Jarman's home and garden in Dungeness. These residencies provide time and space for creative practitioners to reflect, think, and develop work in a unique, remote, and historic setting. The programme focuses on the present and future rather than past achievements. Residents are not required to produce a formal outcome but are asked to provide a brief reflection for the archive. The residencies are not open to students, and applicants should be prepared for the cottage's specific accessibility constraints and exposed, challenging environment.
Four paid two-week residencies per year, with residents receiving £500 per week after their stay.
The residencies are not open to students. Applicants must be creative practitioners who can work in a remote, self-sufficient, and physically constrained environment. Requires application form and equal opportunities form.
Please send your completed application form and equal opportunities form to prospectcottage@creativefolkestone.org.uk, or post/deliver by hand to Quarterhouse, Mill Bay, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 1BN.
