About the Open Call
The Black Mountain Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for the upcoming exhibition, Pure Flora. The show aims to celebrate botanicals and capture their impact on lives, serving as a lead-in to the 20th Anniversary of Art in Bloom. Accepted mediums include 2D work (paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, fiber, and mixed media) and 3D work (ceramics, fibers, metal, wood, and sculptural materials). The exhibit will be on display from May 1 - May 22, 2026.
What is Offered
Exhibition in the gallery, 60% commission on all sales, and an opening reception.
Requirements
Artists must live in Western North Carolina. All submissions must be original, one-of-a-kind artwork produced by the artist and free from copyright infringement.
How to Apply
Fill out the Google form provided on the website and upload up to two digital images of your work. Images must be between 960 and 1920 pixels on the longest side and under 5MB. Pay the $15 fee via check, cash, or PayPal.
