Queens Museum
Selected fellows receive funding, guidance from museum staff, and support in producing new work over the course of a year-long fellowship. The program emphasizes experimentation, research-driven practice, and community engagement while offering artists visibility through a culminating exhibition at the museum. The fellowship specifically focuses on nurturing emerging visual artists who are at an early stage in their public careers.
Applicants must be emerging visual artists living in the five boroughs of New York City for at least one year prior to the application deadline. Eligible artists should be early in their professional careers, with limited solo exhibitions, grants, or institutional recognition. Applications are evaluated based on the strength of the proposed project, artistic vision, and readiness to further develop their practice.
