New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and Robert Rauschenberg Foundation
The program is designed to serve artists in financial need who otherwise may delay critical treatment or incur substantial and perhaps overwhelming debt due to unexpected medical emergencies. Eligibility requires an average adjusted gross income for the last two years of no greater than $80,000 for individuals ($160,000 for joint filers). Grants are not for lost wages, living expenses, or medical care for others.
One-time grants of up to $5,000 for medical, dental, and mental health emergencies.
Artists in financial need creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography; average adjusted gross income for last two years must not exceed $80,000 (individual) or $160,000 (joint).
Applications must be submitted online via Submittable. First-time users will need to register with the free Submittable platform to access the application portal.
