About the Open Call

Re:Frame is a curatorial platform for East and Southeast Asian moving image and its diasporas. We welcome submissions across all genres including narrative, documentary, essay, experimental, hybrid, and animation. Selected works will be presented in Berlin in Autumn 2026 and are eligible for an Audience Award with a cash prize.

What is Offered

Selected works will be included in curated programmes, presented to a diverse audience in Berlin, be eligible for an Audience Award cash prize, and featured in Q&A sessions or public conversations.

Requirements

Works must be under 30 minutes, completed after January 1, 2024, and non-English works must include English subtitles. Open to artists from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and their diasporas, or works engaging with these contexts.
