Eccles Institute at the British Library
The Eccles Institute invites a UK-based creative practitioner to a research-led fellowship exploring the British Library's Amazon collections. The fellowship supports an artist to investigate the climate emergency and develop new work through sustainable, library-based research. The role includes a three-month induction and research period followed by six months for creation and public engagement. Mentorship by writer Joseph Zárate is provided.
Stipend of £7,500 plus a production/public engagement budget of up to £3,000.
Applicant must be over 18, based in the UK, with evidence of sustained artistic work and a track record of public exhibition. Must be an artist working with sound, visual arts, performance, or moving image.
