About the Open Call
Theatrical Jazz Crossroads is a rare opportunity to witness acclaimed playwright and performance artist Sharon Bridgforth facilitate live improvisational performance sessions rooted in Theatrical Jazz traditions of listening, rhythm, repetition, call-and-response, ensemble storytelling, and collective composition. Over five mornings, artists and witnesses gather in a virtual creative laboratory to explore movement, sound, story, and memory as tools for performance-making.
What is Offered
Access to a five-day virtual performance laboratory, including live facilitation, process witnessing, reflection opportunities, and a final works-in-progress showing.
Requirements
Participants should be interested in performance art, theater, movement, improvisation, embodiment, and interdisciplinary artistic practice.
