About the Open Call
In Practice 2027 will generate a yearlong series of solo presentations at SculptureCenter. Artists are invited to submit proposals for solo exhibitions in designated gallery spaces, as well as off-site projects, publishing initiatives, performances, and nontraditional formats. Up to seven artists will be selected to participate in the program from January to December 2027, with each exhibition lasting four to six weeks. Proposals will be reviewed based on the quality of work, engagement with emerging methods, responsiveness to the site, and feasibility.
What is Offered
Up to seven artists will receive a solo exhibition opportunity for approximately four to six weeks in 2027.
Requirements
Artists must not have had a prior institutional solo exhibition in New York City. Proposals must reflect new work to be realized specifically in 2027.
