Sight/Geist: Film & Performance Open Call for Emerging NYC Artists

About the Open Call

Sight/Geist supports artists working in experimental and non-commercial cinema, video art, performance documentation, and expanded performance forms. The Foundation provides curatorial, administrative, and promotional support for selected projects. Programs will take place at The 8th Floor, the Foundation's gallery near Union Square in NYC.

What is Offered

Selected artists receive curatorial, administrative, and promotional support, documentation for performances, and an artist fee ($300 for group screening, $500 for solo screening, or $750 for solo performance plus $250 for production costs).

Requirements

Open to emerging NYC-based artists, duos, or collectives. Applicants must be 18+, reside in NYC, and submit experimental work aligned with themes of art and social justice. One submission per artist.
