About the Open Call

The Barbagelata Foundation invites artists and writers to explore the idea of the Siren—not simply as a mythological figure, but as a symbol of longing, intuition, transformation, desire, mystery, and the unknown. We welcome works that evoke the sea, mythology, feminine archetypes, folklore, attraction, danger, enchantment, memory, nature, imagination, and the forces that call us beyond the visible world. Selected artists will be featured in the Sirens Art Book, an international publication.

What is Offered

Selected artists will be featured in a limited-edition luxury print issue, receiving a full-page or multi-page spread with curatorial introduction, a personalized collector's hard copy, and a numbered Certificate of Inclusion.

Requirements

Submit 1-4 artworks (JPEG/PNG) or up to 2 pages of writing (doc/docx/PDF). Selected artists must pay a 40€ ($45) participation fee for production and promotion, with fee waivers available upon request.
