About the Open Call
Smuin Contemporary Ballet is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 season under Artistic Director Amy Seiwert. The company performs a repertoire that marries classical ballet forms with contemporary dance, collaborating with choreographers worldwide. Auditions are by invitation only and will take place in Chicago, San Francisco, and New York City. Selected artists are engaged for 36-38 weeks.
What is Offered
Contracts for 36-38 weeks with salaries starting at $1,200 per week based on experience.
Requirements
Minimum of two years professional performing experience; candidates must be eligible for employment in the U.S. (citizens or current O-1 visa holders) and prepared to relocate to San Francisco.
