Solitary Retreat in the Nevada Desert

About the Open Call

The artist retreat at the Montello Foundation is designed for artists to have space and time for undisturbed experimentation and reflection. The facility consists of a building with a large shading roof covering two distinct spaces: one for bodily needs (living) and one for creative work. Applicants are selected based on the quality of their work and its relevance to the foundation's focus on nature, its fragility, and environmental conservation.

What is Offered

Two-week solitary residency in the Nevada desert.

Requirements

Artists must cover their own travel and living expenses. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to their practice, such as showing work in non-profit spaces or organizing events.
