About the Open Call

Pavilion Dance South West is hosting the South West Dance Summit on Thursday 26 March 2026. This summit serves as an opportunity for programmers, producers, and artists to connect and discuss. As part of the summit, they are featuring up to six South West-based dance and movement artists to pitch work live in the Ocean Theatre. Pitches should be up to 15 minutes long and can include computer-based presentations, live demonstrations, or excerpts of work.

What is Offered

Selected artists receive a fee of £165, plus travel and accommodation support if required.

Requirements

Applicants must be dance and movement artists based in the South West of England. They must have either a finished work ready for touring or a project idea that requires support. Open to any genre of dance.

How to Apply

Artists can apply by completing the online application form by Friday 23 January 2026 at 18:00. Alternatively, applications can be submitted via video or voice note (max 5 minutes) detailing contact info, location, project details, and required support, along with a filmed example of work, sent to jobs@pdsw.org.uk with the subject line 'SW Summit 2026 Artist Pitch'.
