STOMPING GROUND CALL OUT 2027

About the Open Call

The Stomping Ground Call Out 2027 is looking for a short solo or duet work created for children aged 5-11. The work should be tourable to primary schools, festivals and outdoor public spaces across the UK. The commission is £20,000, and includes development support, in-kind studio space, and a five-week touring contract. The selected artist(s) will have their work premiere in May 2027, with touring in June and July 2027. We encourage applications from artists from underrepresented backgrounds and those who use movement as a core component of their practice.

What is Offered

£20,000 commission, development support, up to two weeks of in-kind studio space at The Place, and a five-week touring contract as part of The Playground Tour.

Requirements

Must be based in the UK. Work must feature a strong movement element, be suitable for primary-aged children (5-11), be small in scale/minimal props, tourable, and not have been submitted to Stomping Ground previously without further development.
