About the Open Call
The Summer Residency transforms the OVADA warehouse into a shared studio space for artists, curators, writers, and researchers. Participants receive 24-hour access to the space, weekly development sessions with OVADA staff, and the opportunity to organize open studios or exhibitions. The program is designed for practitioners at any stage of their career to explore, experiment, and connect with the local creative community.
What is Offered
24-hour warehouse access, weekly development sessions, professional networking, and optional public engagement opportunities such as talks or exhibitions.
Requirements
Successful applicants must pay a £300 residency fee. Accommodation and materials are not provided. Use of heavy machinery, welding tools, or toxic materials (solvents/aerosols) is prohibited indoors.
How to Apply
Applicants must purchase the application via the OVADA website shop and provide a Paypal transaction ID. The application requires a CV, a project proposal including a rough itinerary, and a portfolio of up to 6 files or an online link.
