Brighter Sound
System Flow is a commission designed and led by sound artist Vicky Clarke. It invites music makers and sound artists to explore the role of systems, rituals, and ways of thinking in their sonic practice. The program includes group sessions, guest workshops, talks, and trips to exhibitions. Participants will reflect on their creative processes, collaborate with technologists and neuroscientists, and work individually to create a public-facing output. The program runs from July to September 2026.
Artists will receive a fee of £1500 each. Costs for travel, accommodation, and access needs are covered, with additional bursaries available for eligible participants.
Applicants must be aged 18+, based in the UK, and actively work with sound, technology, electronics, or experimental approaches to music. Priority is given to artists in the North of England.
