Tall Stories Directors Award

About the Open Call

Tall Stories is seeking directors with a burning idea for a family theatre project that involves narration. Successful applicants will receive up to £4500 for a week of development, access to the Tall Stories Studio in Islington, and optional mentoring. Proposals must be for original pieces. We encourage applications from people whose backgrounds or lived experience are underrepresented in previous applications, including those from the global majority, carers, and those from low socio-economic backgrounds.

What is Offered

Up to £4500, one week of free rehearsal space, optional feedback/mentoring session, and opportunity for a sharing at the end of the week.

Requirements

The project must involve narration, be an original piece (adaptations of books/stories are acceptable if rights are available), and be aimed at children and families.
