Kentucky Arts Council
The Teaching Art Together Grant supports teachers in bringing professional teaching artists into Kentucky classrooms for residencies. The program aims to involve students and teachers in the creative process, integrate arts into daily instruction, and provide teachers with tools to continue arts education. Residencies must be selected from the Kentucky Arts Council's Teaching Artists Directory and can cover various disciplines or cross-curricular pairings. Funding covers artist fees ($80 per hour/session, max $320 per day).
Grant funding of $80 per class session, max $320 per day, to cover artist fees for a 1- to 10-day residency.
Applicants must be a Kentucky public/private pre K-12 school or a nonprofit providing pre K-12 instruction. All artists must be selected from the Kentucky Arts Council Teaching Artists Directory.
Applicants must create an organization profile on the GO Smart online grant system, select an artist from the Kentucky Arts Council Teaching Artists Directory, develop a residency plan, and submit the application online with required administrative signatures.
